Rumi Persian Cuisine

Lacked hospitality and basic courtsey. We were group of 5 ladies and ordered starters and drinks. The young guy who took the order smirked at us for not ordering the mains n judged us for our choice for the table to start with.. Sadly the elderly male looked demotivated and tired at the beginning of the service. Left a very poor impression on all of us. Won’t be going back.

food presentation was very basic, however that maybe how perisan food is presented. Staff were very friendly and welcoming

It was my sister’s birthday and they were very kind and sweet, they put on a birthday song and supplied us a delicious dessert!

The food was nice, however, a week before I booked table for 5 people, then on the night the waitor told us we have only 1.25 hr to finish as the table was booked for someone else. I don’t think this is my problem if the booking was doubled over short period. Seeing few tables where people were sitting for more than one hr and ordered nothing.

We had a delightful lunch at Rumi Restaurant, where we enjoyed an authentic Persian cuisine experience. The food was exceptional, with each dish bursting with rich flavors and aromatic spices that transported us straight to Iran. We savored a variety of traditional dishes, complemented by refreshing drinks that perfectly balanced the meal. The desserts were a true highlight, offering a sweet finish to an already wonderful feast. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with elegant décor and soothing music that added to the overall charm of the place. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, leaving us eager to return.

A lovely visit to Rumi. Apart from a little mixup over the reservation, we had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Food was excellent and service friendly and prompt. Definitely go again!

We were very well looked after on our visit. We arrived before our booking time and the staff cleared a table for us so we could sit down almost immediately. The food was delicious and it's such a nice, cosy place. :)

We were impressed with and enjoyed the subtle blend of spices in the slow cooked mains. We had the Ghormeh Sabzi and the Fesen Joon. We will definitely return to sample more of thier exquisite cuisine.

The food and service was great. They also offer a variety of GF, DF that do not have lemon, lime, orange or grapefruit.

A great Persian restaurant- with some excellent traditional dishes that are novel for kiwis. Try things like fesenjan - amazing.

The kebab did not have any sauce so the meal was very dry. I would have expected at least some sauce and maybe some yummy bread to accompany the dish. For $40 odd dollars it was not good value for money at all. I would not go back.

Two of us stopped in for a light dinner; we shared a couple of starters and we each had a glass of wine. The food came quickly and it was very good - nicely presented, excellent flavors, exactly what we wanted. I hope to return again for a full meal.

The food was very nicely cooked, but lacked je ne sais quoi in the spice department (do I eat too much Thai and Indian?) and the main portion size for $40 left me hungry.

What a fantastic restaurant. The food was superb and we will definitely be going back again to try the rest of the menu. Too many great choices.

Kuku sabzi entree and saffron cardamom rose ice cream were highlights. Ordered the rumi special and would personally recommend just getting the chenjeh out of the three skewered meats. The Margherita mocktail was just fizzy grapefruit juice with no salt or tang so probably shouldn’t be sold as a mocktail.

The owners looked miserable and unfriendly.Very grumpy! The waiter and waitress were lovely-helpful,attentive enough but the owner/managers could change their politeness if they want their guests to feel happy.Kinda ruined the night for us!

One worst experience with this restaurant last night!!! 🤮🤮🤮 Horrible food! Horrible customer service! Horrible atmosphere! It was my 3rd visit and couldn't get any worse. It was my nephew's bday dinner which got ruined at this place, never ever going back again.. Got there at sharp 8pm, we waited for atleast 15 mins for someone to come give us the menu and take the order, 2 of us had to go remind them that we are waiting for someone to come to us. And after ordering the food, we had to wait until 9.15pm for the food to come to the table. Seriously???? One hour??? If they were short of staff or busy, who's gonna tell us that there will be a delay??? Our baby got irritated having to wait in cold outside and started crying.. When you can't handle a busy crowd, then please simply stop taking table bookings, or better learn to handle how busy restaurants function. And then the food served after 1 hour was pale and cold.. Zereshk polo was overly sweet, baghali polo was toooooo bland..and then there was nobody again to come check if we wanted something else in dessert..we simply got disappointed and left. Horrible horrible horrible!!! Date- 24th November Dinner @ 8pm

Just ate here with my fiance. The food and service was fantastic. This was our first time eating at a persian restaurant and food was fabulous and we loved the small but lively atmosphere. The saffron icecream is to die for. Definitely coming back!!

The meals were amazing. We tried lamb, salmon, chicken and beef, they were all soft and juicy. The portion was the right size for us. The service was friendly and attentive. Will be back and will highly recommend Rumi!

Rumi Cuisine ; I’m in Awe and so is my husband we absolutely enjoyed the meal; the staff; the feel; the taste; it was all an amazing Persian experience ; the attention to details. The background music the ornaments ; the conversations we had was beyond our expectations. Offering me dates and a space corner to perform our prayers. That’s a wow factor 🤍 the deserts ; oh and the pistachio ice cream; made from scratch in their kitchen, the tea ; the baklava all just too good to be true. 🤍 thank you for the calligraphy artwork will cherish that 🤍
